July 4th, 1976. America's 200th birthday. And somewhere along Highway 77 in Kingsville, Texas, somebody decided the best way to celebrate was to run.

The Route 77 Freedom Run brought the community out on a South Texas summer morning — stopwatch running, flags waving, the highway shield marking every mile. Five local businesses put their names on the back of this shirt because they believed in the town enough to show up.

This one was found tucked inside a box at the Kleberg County Feed & Supply warehouse during a 2019 cleanout. Forty-three years in storage. Not bad for a cotton tee.

Printed on a soft Bella+Canvas 3001 unisex tee in Athletic Heather. Vintage-distressed screenprint graphic, front and back. True to size — size up for a relaxed fit.
